EVERY time I take a Deep Hot Stretch class I think - "I wish this was longer!" Well... here it is! Join Carleena for this incredible evening of un-doing stuck physical tension in the body, focusing on the intention of stillness.
Every Deep Hot Stretch class begins with a beautiful, slow and engaging flow waking up the energetic centers of the body as well as the physical nerve plexus centers. After a serene warmup, this class moves into longer holds in postures working through the larger muscle groups of the body - hamstrings, hips, shoulders and spine. The stillness in these postures creates a noticeable shift in the body, where we are encouraged to stay and be with the sensations that show up for us. With the added time, we will be holding postures in more of a yin style - meaning multiple minutes at a time. This is to really get into not just the muscles but the connective tissues. With the room set to a comfortable 92 degrees, it will aid us in letting go of emotional tension as well. At the end of this special 2 hour deep hot stretch, Carleena will also guide us through a mini breathwork experience to assist in grounding before our final pose: Savasana. This is a beautiful class aimed at letting go of whatever it is we need to let go of. Please join us.
