I have been practicing yoga for over 20 years and I've tried it all -- I've done Hatha, Ashtanga, Bikram, Barkan, Vinyasa and Kundalini, you name it. I've loved almost all of it, but I feel like I truly found my home at Shine. I love the Baptiste inspired flow and the freedom to have fun and play music. Yoga is a place of mental rest and meditation for me, but also a place to spread my wings and PLAY. I find the community at Shine to be loving, welcoming, and warm, with humor and a down to earth feel. I knew when I did the Shine Immersion I had found my people. When I teach, my main goals are for students have fun and let go. I love all the heart-opening asanas, because they helped me break through my own wall and open myself to the world. I teach exclusively Karma classes at Shine because I want to give back to the community. I'm so lucky that Shine is such a loving generous place that allows me to do that. Other than yoga, I am an animal lover (all kinds! even bugs and reptiles!), love nature and being outside, gardening and growing things, traveling, and also spending time with my husband Frank, our two adopted shelter cats Lulu and Owen, and an ever changing crew of foster dogs.
