I discovered yoga more than 13 years ago in a beautiful little space called Dream Fields in Voorhees, N.J. It "had me at Child's Pose" as a deeply embodied form of spiritual practice I had been looking for for many years.

Wedding my lifelong twin passions for exploring the mystical traditions of East and West and serving those on the margins of our society,  my introduction to yoga many years ago led to my first teacher training, fueled by the vision of bringing yoga into the lives of the children of the Camden City Church and School where I was employed at the time.

As I embarked upon graduate studies in Spirituality shortly thereafter, my yogic journey shifted into a largely theological pursuit and over the span of a decade I lost touch with my mat and found myself physically exhausted at 320 lbs.

I made a decision to return to my mat several years ago, discovered the transformative power of Baptiste inspired Power Yoga from the first class and haven't looked back since. It is said of Power Yoga that "the work is never easy, but it is always worth it!" I think these words best describe my journey into Power Yoga over the past several years; deeply transformative work from a place of never "arriving" and as an access to continually unfolding possibility! I couldn't be more honored or excited to share this gift with the incredible Shine community as I begin to lead practices.

Background basics: I completed a 200 hour Hatha Yoga Teacher training at Dream Fields, a 200 hour Power Yoga Teacher Training at Heart and Grit Power Yoga, Level 1 and Art of Assisting with the Baptiste Institute and am currently completing an additional 300 hour advanced Power Yoga Teacher training. I am a certified Reiki practitioner, a Mental Health Specialist for Rutgers University, an Interfaith Spiritual Counselor in private practice and completed an M.A. in Spirituality from Fordham University.  I look forward to meeting you on your mat sometime soon!
