Yin yoga works deeply into our body with passive, longer-held poses.
It targets the deepest tissues of the body, our connective tissues – ligaments, joints, bones, the deep fascia networks of the body and the meridians. This is contrast to a Yang yoga practice such as Vinyasa yoga which targets the muscles.
Energetically, Yin yoga improves the energy flow, enhancing the flow of chi in the organs. To be healthy, we need healthy organs as well as healthy muscles. Yin yoga also offers wonderful emotional and mental health benefits.

Each Friday evening, participants will gather at SHINE Maple Shade, beginning with Michael’s 6:00 PM Community Class, followed by a 40 Days group meeting from 7:15–8:15 PM. These weekly sessions provide structure, accountability, and space for reflection, while the daily practice throughout the 40 days helps anchor the work into real life.
Whether you’re looking to recommit to your practice, create healthier routines, or move through a season of personal transformation with the support of community, this program offers the tools and guidance to help you stay consistent and inspired.

Nature to Nurture is an invitation to slow down, step outside, and reconnect both with the natural world and with yourself. Led by John, this experience blends mindful movement, breath, and intentional time in nature, including a guided one-hour hike designed to ground the body and clear the mind.
The hike will move at an accessible, steady pace, allowing space to breathe deeply, notice your surroundings, and settle into the rhythm of walking outdoors. (The exact location will be shared prior to the event.) After the hike, we’ll return to the Medford studio for intentional movement inspired by nature—supporting the body in opening, softening, and allowing the nervous system to unwind.
Expect moments of stillness, reflection, and presence. This experience is not about performance or pushing, but about restoring balance, connection, and ease. We’ll start with a one-hour guided hike, breathing fresh air, building connection, and moving with intention. Then we’ll head to the studio for a one-hour heated Shine Style Slow Burn yoga class, where steady strength, deep focus, and mindful movement seal in the heat and the benefits. Two Hour Yin Medford
Sink into stillness and allow yourself to slow all the way down in this two-hour Yin Yoga experience led by Kathryn. The class starts at 9! Please arrive 10/15 minutes early for check-in.

We recommend cash payment on the day of class! If you are looking to use your card you will have to pre-register online. There is no card swiper present on the beach.
• What to Bring 💧
BYO Yoga Mat/ Towel/or Beach blanket to practice on. Because we are on location WE DO NOT have rental mat offerings.
Handtowel for sweat. Water bottle/Hydration of your choice.
Sunscreen/ Sun Protection as needed.
• What to Wear 😎
Beach Mornings can range from cool starts to blazing sun, so we recommend dressing as YOU feel comfortable. Yoga is on the beach so wearing something you are comfortable in that could possibly get sandy/wet. Some like coming in bathing suits ready for the beach, while others come in athletic attire. That is up to YOU.

Beach Yoga is OUTDOOR ON THE BEACH therefore is weather dependent. We do our best to make the call if we are canceling the class at least 45 minutes prior to class time. We will post to our social media pages/stories as well as cancel the class on our app.
